ArtBoatNYC and your privacy

Worldwide Privacy laws are changing to give greater protection and rights to individuals. One such example is the GDPR (European General Data Protection Regulation). Whilst GDPR is a European directive it is highly probable that similar legislation will be enacted in other countries such as the USA.

Privacy laws are generally concerned with 'Personal data' and how companies use, access and store it.

Personal data is a complex category of information, but broadly means a piece of information that can be used to identify a person. This can be a name, address, IP address... you name it. Sensitive personal data encompasses genetic data, information about religious and political views, sexual orientation, and more.

Under GDPR these is also a section that says pseudonymised personal data can also fall under the law if it's possible that a person could be identified by a pseudonym.

The management and staff of ArtBoatNYC LLC welcomes these changes and the continual way that Governments are improving Privacy laws and how Personal data can be used, accessed and stored.

One aspect of these changes, and those we believe will come, is a requirement to have a Privacy Policy that is in 'plain' language so that individuals can easily understand it - ours is below - but we still have a need for a more structured 'Data Protection Policy' so here it is Data Protection Policy
